Day 1

Kuala Lumpur to transit

Meals: Breakfast

Four hours before departure you gather at Kuala Lumpur International Airport to check in, ready for the journey to Milan Malpensa (MXP), the gateway to a northern Italy known for its fashion and its architecture.

Day 2

Arrive Milan, on to Treviso

Meals: Breakfast

On arrival at Milan Malpensa the journey continues to Treviso, a historic town known for its culture, its art and its fashion houses. There is free time to explore, before checking in for a quiet night in Treviso.

Day 3

Treviso to Venice Island and Florence

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast the group heads for Venice Island by way of Venice Santa Lucia station and a water bus. Here you visit St Mark's Square, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs, the landmarks that make Venice what it is, with free time for souvenirs. The journey then continues to Florence for the night.

Day 4

Florence, Pisa and back to Florence

Meals: Breakfast

Florence, the "cradle of the Renaissance", is the setting for today. You visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, the Basilica of Santa Croce and the Piazza della Repubblica. The journey continues to Pisa and the Leaning Tower in the Piazza dei Miracoli, an architectural accident that became an Italian icon. The night is spent back in Florence.

Day 5

Florence to Vatican City and Rome

Meals: Breakfast

The journey to Rome begins with Vatican City, the centre of the Catholic world. You visit St Peter's Basilica, the largest church on earth, and the Vatican Museum, which houses the Sistine Chapel — where popes are elected, beneath Michelangelo's ceiling. The Colosseum and the Roman Forum, the monuments of the Roman Empire, follow.

Day 6

Rome to Cinque Terre and La Spezia

Meals: Breakfast

After breakfast the group heads for Cinque Terre, a dramatic stretch of coast where five brightly painted villages cling to the cliffs above the Ligurian Sea. The area is a UNESCO World Heritage site as much for its landscape as its villages. The journey continues to La Spezia, the handsome port town that serves as the gateway to Cinque Terre.

Day 7

La Spezia to Genoa, Serravalle and Milan

Meals: Breakfast

The day begins in Genoa, the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, where you visit the Piazza de Ferrari, San Lorenzo Cathedral, the Porta Soprana and the Royal Palace Museum. You then shop at the Serravalle Designer Outlet, the largest of its kind in Italy. Overnight in Milan.

Day 8

Milan to Lake Como and Bellagio

Meals: Breakfast

The morning starts at Lake Como, the loveliest of the Italian lakes, ringed by mountains and grand villas. You also visit Bellagio, a beautiful village of cobbled lanes and remarkable views across the water, and the Basilica di San Fedele, the finest church in Como. Back to Milan for the night.

Day 9

Milan city tour and departure

Meals: Breakfast

The last day in Italy begins with a tour of Milan — the Duomo square and its Gothic cathedral, La Scala opera house, the Castello Sforzesco and the Duke of Milan. The group then transfers to Milan Malpensa for the flight home to Kuala Lumpur.

Day 10

Arrive Malaysia

Meals: Breakfast

The flight lands safely at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, closing a journey through the classic cities of Italy and its culture, art and history.
