Kota Mas Travel & Tours was incorporated on 25 October 1989 as Prestige Travel & Tours, and has traded under its present name since January 2001. It is an established Bumiputera travel company and an IATA-accredited agent, dealing with most of the world's major airlines.
The company is fully owned by Koperasi Telekom Malaysia Berhad (KOTA MAS), founded on 21 July 1922 as the first cooperative registered in Malaysia and a winner of the National Cooperative Award in 2003. Over the past century KOTA MAS has built interests in finance, insurance, property development, trading, hospitality and leisure, and it promotes tourism both at home and abroad.
