Day 1
Kuala Lumpur to Beijing
Meals: In-flight meal, lunch, dinner
You leave Kuala Lumpur for Beijing and, arriving early in the morning, are met by a local guide. The tour starts at the Great Wall of China at Juyongguan, one of the wonders of the world and a remarkable mountain outlook in its own right. After lunch and prayers the tour continues to a jade store to see the stonework the region is known for. Dinner before checking in for the night in Beijing.
Day 2
Beijing to Harbin
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
After breakfast you board the bullet train to Harbin, the city known for the beauty of its winter. A local guide meets you on arrival and lunch follows. The tour continues to a winter clothing shop to get you ready for the cold, then the giant snowman at Music Park, the Songhua River bridge and the Flood Control Memorial Tower. After dinner, check in for the night in Harbin.
Day 3
Harbin to Snow Town
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
After breakfast the journey continues to Snow Town — Xuexiang — around five to six hours away. On arrival you step into a snowbound village that looks like something out of a story: Xueyun Street, the Fairy Tale Post Office, and the Bangchui Mountain observation walkway for the panorama over the snow. In the evening there may be a parade, Yangko dancing and a disco, depending on the local schedule. Dinner and the night in Snow Town.
Day 4
Snow Town to Harbin
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
After breakfast the coach takes you back to Harbin, around five to six hours. On arrival the tour continues to Saint Sophia Cathedral Square, a historic building of unmistakably Russian design, and then a walk along Central Street, the shopping avenue with the classic European feel. After dinner, back to the hotel in Harbin.
Day 5
Harbin
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
After breakfast the tour starts at Volga Manor, a Russian-themed park with the Petrov Art Palace, St Nicholas Church and the Vodka Castle, where you can also try winter activities such as snow tubing. After lunch and prayers at a local mosque the tour continues to Ice & Snow World, the largest ice park on earth, whose coloured sculptures are at their most striking after dark.
Day 6
Harbin to Beijing
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner
After breakfast you take the bullet train back to Beijing. Lunch is provided on arrival, followed by prayers at a local mosque. The tour continues to Olympic Park for photographs in front of the Bird's Nest stadium and the Water Cube, then time to shop at Hongqiao Market before dinner and checking in to the hotel.
Day 7
Beijing to Kuala Lumpur
Meals: Breakfast, in-flight meal
After breakfast and check-out you transfer to the airport for the flight home to Kuala Lumpur, closing a trip that took in the strangeness of Snow Town and the spectacle of the Harbin ice festival.
